Mark got me an iPod for Mother’s Day. I was one of the last hold outs among my friends in the great iCraze. I don’t think I’d call myself a convert YET – but I love my iPod now.
I spent last night pulling a bunch of old CDs out 1) so I could provide a friend with some much overdue “new to her” music and 2) so I could continue to load up my handy device with stuff that would make me stop and say, “I forgot how much I liked this”.
The CD of the morning that fits that final category is the Once More With Feeling soundtrack. Right now I can’t remember the last time I sat down and watched the Buffy musical episode but I can’t wait to spend some time with it again. It was brilliant! Listening to the tracks I can replay the whole thing in my head (making it somewhat difficult to analyze urgent care utilization trends this morning – hence the blog-posting instead).
And podcasts?! The next best thing to – a lot of cool stuff. They are heaven for any geek. Any subject you can think of seems to have a podcast. I’m somewhat addicted to the 10th Wonder (Heroes recaps and speculation) and Veronica Mars (interviews with actors, writers, editors, etc.) entries right now, as if that’s any surprise. I just wish I had more time to try to more of them. I’ve found it’s pretty hard to concentrate at work and try to listen to a podcast at the same time. This is unfortunate cause it would be a great use of multi-tasking.
And with that “…the curtains close on a kiss, god knows, we can tell the end is near.”
On with the show (or analysis in my case today).
