A while back there was a FedEx package on my front porch sent directly by Terry Moore (creator, writer, artist extraordinare of Strangers in Paradise in case you didn’t know) and I had no idea.  Apparantly, he called Mark on his cellphone and Mark told him how much I loved SiP and how much I cried when it ended.  I wish I could have heard that conversation.  So why was Mark on the phone with Terry Moore?  Because he’s awesome.

See, if you go to Terry’s website he has original artwork from the series for sale.  The one on the second page that looks like this is sold…

SiP

…and it’s sitting in my living room right now.

Unbeknownst to me, Mark has made it his personal mission to try and make me cry with at least one gift every Christmas.  He succeeded…again.

About Mama's a Mess

Who am I and what am I doing here? Well, at the end of the day I'm a mother and a wife, a lover of classic monster movies and comic books, of music, TV and movies. I'm a sucker for pop culture. I'm a fangirl. I'm an artist. As my husband always puts it, "Baby, you're a mess!" I have a penchant for creating and collecting. I feed my brain with a mix of anything from hot rods and pin-ups to handmade and natural. I like to dig in the dirt and grow things but sometimes picture myself doing it like Donna Reed. I will always, always choose to wear a dress first. I am head over heels in love with my husband and have a fantastically crazy life with him. Hi there,

I saw your blog and how much you love SiP, and now i’m very jealous of the original art you have!!

I thought you might be interested to know Terry recently appeared on a comics podcast that I co-host. We asked if he would like to come on to talk about SiP, Echo and his upcoming Marvel work, and he very kindly agreed. He was a fantastic guest, very generous and a lovely guy. I’ve included a link if you’re interested.

    Best wishes

    Steve
