Introducing… 21st Century Slayer: Welcome to the Hellmouth

Thinking back on Buffy the Vampire Slayer you may not automatically think about the fashion.  It was really a key to the character(s) though from the very beginning.  And by no means was it always good!  Who can forget:

– Spike’s blue belly shirt in Season 6
– Willow’s horrible poncho in Season 4
– Willow’s childish sweaters in seasons 1-3
– Willow’s awful flannel shirt and turtleneck in season 4

(Sorry, it appears Willow stands out in my mind as the WORST dressed in Buffy history.  Poor thing…)

So, my love of Buffy and my need for something to do on polyvore (a recent discovery of mine if you haven’t noticed) collide and I bring you:  21st Century Slayer.  I’ll be randomly picking episodes and characters and bringing looks we all remember into 2011.

The first take:  Welcome to the Hellmouth.
Not quite how you would update it?  Then share your sets with us (mamasamess) on polyvore or in comments!

About Mama's a Mess

Who am I and what am I doing here? Well, at the end of the day I'm a mother and a wife, a lover of classic monster movies and comic books, of music, TV and movies. I'm a sucker for pop culture. I'm a fangirl. I'm an artist. As my husband always puts it, "Baby, you're a mess!" I have a penchant for creating and collecting. I feed my brain with a mix of anything from hot rods and pin-ups to handmade and natural. I like to dig in the dirt and grow things but sometimes picture myself doing it like Donna Reed. I will always, always choose to wear a dress first. I am head over heels in love with my husband and have a fantastically crazy life with him.
