– We took our first trip to the Cleveland Flea last month and discovered a host of new vintage and hand-craft vendors, along with a book that Bryan is anxiously waiting cracking open (Rust Belt Chic: The Cleveland Anthology).
– Taking a detour the other day, due to the traffic back-up Cappy has been causing, we found a new urban farm location buried in a near-westside neighborhood. The site of the second Rising Harvest Farms location, we believe, used to be an old shut-down school building.
– We went to the first open house hosted by the Old School Architectural Salvage Project and scored amazing old high-school and bowling lockers. Those, I’m sure, will be showing up in a blog post in the future.
– Friday I read an update from Unmiserable Cleveland that included a long list of great activities for that night. Art walks, concerts, cocktails at the Art Museum. I wish there were some way we could do it all. Thankfully, a lot of them will be recurring throughout the summer.
Add to this everything that Bryan mentioned, in his Scarlett Johansson tour of Cleveland post, the other day and our plan to vacation at home may be off to a great start. Wait, what’s that? I haven’t mentioned the vacation at home yet? Looks like I have a lot more writing to do in fairly short order…
